Data Source

Where does HazeGuard get its air-quality data?

HazeGuard uses the Open-Meteo Air Quality API to retrieve location-based air-quality information. Open-Meteo provides access to modelled atmospheric data from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), operated by ECMWF.

This means the values you see are modelled estimates, not direct readings from a physical air-quality sensor at your exact location.

Open-Meteo’s Air Quality service is based on CAMS European and CAMS Global atmospheric composition forecasts. These models combine satellite observations, surface data, and advanced atmospheric chemistry modelling.
